Share
Adding your company logo to your Excel invoice template is a great way to personalize your invoices and make them look more professional. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Step 1: Prepare Your Company Logo
Before adding your logo to the Excel invoice template, make sure you have a digital copy of your company logo in a suitable format, such as a high-resolution PNG or JPEG file. Ensure that the logo is appropriately sized and shaped for the space where you want to place it on the invoice.
Step 2: Open Your Excel Invoice Template
Open your existing Excel invoice template or create a new one if you don't have one already. For this example, I will be using one of our invoice templates.
Step 3: Insert the Logo
To insert your company logo, follow these steps:
-
Click on the cell where you want to place your logo. Typically, this is in the header section of your invoice.
-
Go to the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon at the top.
-
Click on "Picture" or "Image," depending on your Excel version.
-
A file dialog box will appear. Locate your company logo image file on your computer and select it.
-
Click the "Insert" button in the dialog box.

Step 4: Resize and Position the Logo
Once you've inserted the logo, it may appear quite large. You can adjust the size and position to fit your template neatly. Here's how:
-
Click on the inserted logo to select it.
-
You should see small squares, or "handles," around the logo. Click and drag these handles to resize the logo to your preferred dimensions. To maintain the aspect ratio, hold down the "Shift" key while resizing.
-
Click and drag the logo to the desired location within the cell or header. You can use the cell borders as a guide to align the logo precisely.
-
To make further adjustments, you can right-click on the logo and choose "Format Picture." This will open a dialog box that allows you to fine-tune various properties, such as size, position, and cropping.
Step 5: Save Your Template
Once you're satisfied with the logo placement, save your Excel invoice template to retain the changes you've made.
Step 6: Test the Template
Before using the template for invoicing, it's a good idea to test it by printing a sample invoice. Ensure that the logo displays correctly and doesn't interfere with the other elements of your invoice, such as the company information and the itemized list of products or services.
By following these steps, you can easily add your company logo to your Excel invoice template, giving your invoices a professional and branded appearance. This personal touch can make a positive impression on your clients and enhance the overall image of your business.
